Great page, I am very excited.
In memory of my loved ones
Hi my name is Heather and I never was really intrested in the AIDS quilt until i was assigned this topic for my school's research paper. I have learned so much about the quilt. I even learned that my 2 great uncle's died from AIDS and they have their own panel. I am now VERY interested in the quilt. I wish I could do something to help, like give a donation, but I'm broke. Well, even when my research paper is done every now and then I will visit to see what is new. Thanks and bye.
Doing some research to augment a painting project I do every year with my senior art students. The theme is HIV/AIDS prevention. We have exhibited these paintings in a variety of venues including: Vancouver at the BC HIV/AIDS conference, Kelown Art Gallery, in Kamloops, at local area schools, and at our Board Office.
It has been almost a year now that my brother passed away because of HIV/Aids. I wish they will
Very touching.
I visited this Web site for research for my senior project.
HOPE TO SEE YOU ALL AT THE NAMES PROJECT 2000 NATIONAL CONFERENCE, IN FT. LAUDERDALE FL
It's a very beautiful site. I was able to locate my friend here.
I hope someday men will find a cure for this terrible disease, I really hope so!!!
The display of quilt panels is incredible!!! It is so much more accessible on the internet. Gay community publications should all publicize this site for Dec.! World AIDS Day.
Beginning quilter
I go to Muhlenberg High School and last week was our remember AIDs Week, and we had parts of the AIDs Quilt brought to our school...over 1/2 of the student body that saw the quilt were in tears, some students were asked to leave, others seemed lost in their thoughts...even though not everyone in this world may not no somebody with AIDs personally we are all effected and deeply touched. Please everyone who reads this, protect yourself-only you can infect yourself with the HIV/AIDs Virus, it all comes down to your final decision...
What a wondeful website : I've been searching for it a long time | Eventually, I will be another name, nickname or iniials on this quilt .... I hereby salute infected hemophiliacs around the world, even that I don't know, because we have a common goal : survive ! Thank you for this opportunity ! Love you all !!! G.-H.G. ( 99.10.16.).
The Web site is great. Well done. Easy access and informative. Keep up the great work. A tribute to our past friends. We miss you all.
Thanks for having this. I've learned alot more.
Very impressed by the site. It conveys something of the power of memory and love that
this quilt possesses when you see it in a display. I lost a loved one to AIDS in 1987
and when I was able to see the quilt myself in Vancouver in 1989 I was moved to make
a quilt square myself in his memory. The act of creating and producing the section
was cathartic and very emotionally moving and provides for me a memory and memorial
to him that comforts me greatly. I urge anyone who has lost a loved one to AIDS to consider
adding a quilt section in their memory. You will always be glad that you did.

WOW!..I'm so impressed by the amount of care and dedication that has gone into this site. Thank you for allowing me this opportunity to see the love that exists within this harsh world of ours.
I'll never forget the display organized by NAMES Project - Canada
I don't have AIDS but I know alot of peplle who do 2 of my favorite people died from the disease.
I think the website is interesting, but sometimes is boring.
Congratulations on the web site. Yet again I cried , but also smiled and laughed at the heart warming memories of happy times. To everyone who has created panel - God bless you for caring and a great big thank you to those whose time has created such a lovely web site. Ann
Thankyou
While working on an assignment for a Women's Studies course, I chose a topic on the history of women's quilting. While researching the project I came across your site. I was truly moved. I never realized that quilt making is so much more than just an article for warmth and comfort. Quilts are the woven fabric of history, of people lost and people remembered. I was filled with an incredible sensation of sadness and my heart goes out to those who have died because of the AIDS virus. The quilt patches are truly symbolic of the value of ones life. In researching womens history in Canada, it would be ignornant not to include mention of the lives which have been woven into history. Thank you.
It was so hard to see my son's name, and at the same time I like to say Thank you for keeping his memory alive.
Finally got a chance to take a peek at the site. Good job! A few tears shed again, as always seems to be the way .
The site is wonderful - and fast and accesible.
One problem - I tried to find a friend's name but
it was not in the alphatic directory either under
P or B. His name is Peter A. Brinton. I found
the panel - section 69 and his panel is C-547 I
believe. Thank you in advance for correcting this
and thank you very much for this site.
